Escala and Nemesis are the final acts through to Saturday's live final of Britain's Got Talent
The final two acts to make it through to Saturday night's live Britain's Got Talent final were chosen tonight. Escala made it through by coming top in the public vote. Nemesis were the Judges choice from the second and third place competitors. Narrowly missing out was a disappointed Craig Harper who Simon Cowell said had been "drinking in the last chance saloon"
Escala
The Escala ladies have been playing their instruments their whole lives, the quartet consists of a cello, viola, and two violins. Escala have all trained at some of the UK's most prestigious music colleges, with Chantelle and Izzy training at the Royal Academy of Music, Tafya at the Guildhall and Vicky at the Royal College. Since leaving college all have been working as freelance musicians. Chantelle and Tafya met each other whilst touring with McFly and decided to form a quartet because they enjoyed performing together on tour so much and it gave them a taster of what they could achieve. Chantelle and Tafya approached Vicky and Izzy, also regulars on the orchestra scene and they were also keen to get involved. Since then Escala have performed at corporate functions. Escala are slowly making a name for themselves in the music industry and are hoping the show will launch their career to the next level
Nemesis
Nemesis consists of six friends from Milton Keynes who formed their dance group a year ago, originally practicing at a bus stop. Nemesis have since entered various competitions and last year won the IDance UK championships. Nemesis were offered a place in the World Championships in the US but couldn't raise the funds to fly out there. Nemesis feel that they offer a unique approach to dancing and are looking to showcase it. Nemesis are also looking to raise their profile and hope that Britain's Got Talent can do that for them. Their ultimate ambition is to win the British Championships and make it to the US to represent the UK in the World Championships
