The Indian Premier League(IPL) is a new Twenty20 cricket competition and you can watch the action exclusively live on Setanta Sports
Setanta has secured the exclusive rights to the pioneering Indian Premier League (IPL), the new Twenty20 cricket competition. Setanta's exclusive live coverage for both Britain and Ireland will start with all 59 games that take place across India from April 18 to June 1st 2008.
In a unique concept for cricket, there are eight teams involved in the tournament- Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderbad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mohali and Mumbai and they have attracted some of the best cricket players in the world to the tournament including Sachin Tendulkar, Dmitri Mascharenas, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist- all who will be battling it out for the Indian Premier League title only on Setanta.
Most of the games will be day-night matches and Setanta will broadcast every game. As the games will start at 9:30am, 1:30pm or 2:30pm GMT, there will also be extended highlights of matches to ensure no true cricket fan misses out!
