Britain's Got Talent topped the audience ratings on Saturday night, with 8.8 million viewers
The Britain's Got Talent talent show presented by Ant and Dec, with the judging panel of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan was the clear winner in the Saturday evening ratings war.
Second in the ratings was the new series of Doctor Who on BBC One with 8.1 million viewers.
It was a good night of ratings for ITV1, with the new All-Star Mr and Mrs, presented by Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton attracting 6.3 million viewers, ahead of BBC One's I'd Do Anything with Graham Norton which attracted 5.4 million viewers.
BBC One struck back in the 9pm timeslot however with Casualty attracting 6.2 million viewers.
ITV1's new American drama Pushing Daisies, starring Anna Friel and Lee Pace, did very well for an imported programme on its debut though, with 5.7 million viewers. Pushing Daisies has been critically acclaimed both in the US and in the UK. Pushing Daisies is a quirky comedy based on a man who can bring people back to life by touching them once - but any further physical contact will kill them forever.
