Carol Vorderman quits Countdown |

TV Presenter Carol Vorderman has announced that she is to leave the Channel 4 game show Countdown.
Carol Vorderman started on the quiz show when it first aired in 1982, along with original Countdown host Richard Whiteley.
When Richard Whiteley died in 2005, Carol Vorderman continued to co-present Countdown with Des Lynam, who was later replaced by Des O'Connor who himself announced earlier this week that he was leaving Countdown when the current series ends in November.
Carol Vorderman has also appeared other TV programmes including Strictly Come Dancing and Have I Got News for You.
