Des O'Connor and Victoria Wood have both received honours in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours List
Des O'Connor and Victoria Wood both become CBEs in the Queen's Birthday Honours.
Others from television to receive honours include Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies who becomes an MBE, and June Brown (Dot Cotton in EastEnders) who becomes an MBE. Broadcaster Joan Bakewell becomes a Dame.
Familiar for both his sporting appearances and appearances on A Question of Sport, rugby star Bill Beaumont becomes a CBE, for services to rugby and charity. Bill Beaumont is also vice-president of the International Rugby Board and honorary president of the Wooden Spoon charity for disadvantaged children.
Another rugby star to receive an honour is Lawrence Dallaglio who becomes an OBE, while boxer Joe Calzaghe becomes a CBE.
There is also an MBE for Paul O'Grady, who found fame with his Lily Savage alter-ego, before going on to front his own chat show.
Also receiving an MBE is antiques expert Henry Sandon, from the BBC's Antiques Roadshow, for services to broadcasting, the ceramics industry and charity.
Rounding off the entertainment honours, screen writer Lynda La Plante, best known for the TV police drama, Prime Suspect, also becomes a CBE.
