By 2012 the whole of the UK will have switched to Digital TV and the current analogue signal will be switched off
The good news is that moving to Digital TV is easy and we have given you a choice of the available options below:
 | The simplest way of going Digital, if you are in a Freeview reception area. Even if you are in a Freeview reception area, you will probably need a new television aerial to get the best Freeview reception. Having got your aerial, the only other equipment you will need is a Freeview set-top box which now start from under £10. This is a one off cost and there are no subscriptions to pay. | | The Freesat service gives you access to many of the same channels as Freeview but is delivered via a Sky set top box and a Sky satellite dish on the outside of your house. As with Freeview, this is a one off cost, of £75 (including installation) and is available from Dixons by clicking here. | | The longest established Digital television service in the UK, you will require a Sky satellite dish and a Sky set top box and viewing card. There are a number of different packages available on a monthly subscription basis. Please click here to visit Sky for more details | | Previously known as NTL: and Telewest, Virgin Media provides Digital TV via underground cable to your house. Again, a number of packages are available on a monthly subscription basis. Please click here to visit Virgin Media for more details. | | BT Vision provides a range of 'programme on demand' Digital TV services. Please note that you need to be in a Freeview reception area to get the most from BT Vision. Click here to visit BT for more information | | Talk talk provides Digital TV on a monthly subscription basis - click here for more information | | Tiscali provide Digital TV on a monthly subscription basis - click here for more information | | Setanta Sports provide additional sports channels on the Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media, BT Vision and Tiscali services for an additional monthly subscription - click here to visit Setanta for more information | | Top Up TV provides additional digital channels to Freeview viewers at peak times. To subscribe you will need a Freeview receiver with a slot for a viewing card |
